Wondering if it is or would ever be possible to add a widget to the LaCRM dashboard to display data via the API from Google Sheets or Looker Studio for example. I have it currently doing a dashboard for me.
Iām afraid we donāt currently have plans to add a widget to display data via the API. We have discussed adding more widget options on the Workspace page eventually; thatās a long ways off so I canāt promise anything specific, but to give you some examples weād discussed having an option for a āWeatherā widget, or more detailed reporting widget options. Sorry I donāt have better news for you here!
Oh, itās no problem. Just one of the things I thought would be nice. I do have dashboard stats in another platform. But Iām using so itās working out fine. Iām sure Iāll have other ideas and Iāll bring up some time to time. Thank you.
Iāve dabbled with LA CRM over the years for short term projects with virtual assistance and work from home. People who wouldnāt be able to grasp more difficult CRMās. This time Iām using it on a project that I did in the past that Iām currently doing again. And the technology has become so much more advanced that itās able to turn LACRM into a very robust engine. Especially through API connectivity. For many many years, I had my businesses wrapped around Infusionsoft. Until Covid. And since in his office has been sold to thrive, itās kind of a ghost of its former self and many respects. Theyāve made it more mainstream. But when I used it, I loved Infusionsoft. Although it could be price, so I am in the midst of building the automations that I need for LACRM to function in many ways like Infusionsoft yet. Some things I am connecting through Sapier. But then once I obtain the functionality that I desire and itās working correctly, Iām also able to build that connectivity outside of zap year and ultimately down the road. Thatāll allow us to realize a significant cost savings as well. So Iām excited about the future of the CRM. I really enjoyed Tylerās presentation about whatās coming up with developments for it. He could do those weekly videos and I would be happy. Weekly would be awesome. As often as possible is welcome. And the user community online will help continue to build a living breathingplatform. Excuse talk to text. We are quickly wrapping LACRM around our current project. Looking forward to what the future holds. Iāll be in touch. Have a great day.
Thanks, Jamie! Iām glad to hear LACRM is getting more powerful for you with the help of the API. Itās always a challenge for us to balance power vs. simplicity, so itās great that you can make it as powerful as you want with Zapier.
And I appreciate the feedback about the product roadmap videos. Iām torn because I enjoy making them, and it seems like people enjoyed watching it, but the reality is that it takes months to finish most projects, so I wonāt really have many updates to give if I make those videos too frequently.
Having said that, weāve also discussed making other types of videos such as deep dives into specific features weāre working on, more info on recently released features, etc. So maybe the product roadmap can just be one of several video types and that would let us post videos more frequently.
