One of the benefits of being a small business owner or a solopreneur is you can offer more personalized customer service than a giant corporation. I’d love to hear some ways you’ve made your work with clients and customers more personal. Do you have any tips for how you use LACRM to make stronger, more personal connections with your clients?
When I am talking to customers if they mention family, hobbies, pets or likes / dislikes I add a pinned note to LACRM to remind me and give me topics to chat about when I next call them which many be months hence. For example one customer loves cricket. So before I call them I look up how their local team is doing. Personally I cant stand cricket but for the sake of customer relations ![]()

I love that idea! It makes such a difference to make that extra effort to show you care about your customers.
How/where do you pin the note? I normally put Rapport related information like you mention in the Background field. That way when it syncs to the Notes section, of that contact in my mobile phone contacts for quick access if I’m away from my crm.
Pinning a note is a bit of a workaround! You can enter a note, and before saving use the small calendar below and to the right of the note to set a date far in the future (normally this would be used to backdate a note). That’ll set the note to a future date, so it’ll stay at the top under the “History” section. We have a little more detail on how that works here too!
Ah ok, I already do that, I just wondered in case there had been a new addition I had missed. Thank you.
I do it the same way as Emily, just forward date the note by 3 years
