Three new features: Workspace tasks, contact sidebar, and undo merges

We recently launched three small quality-of-life improvements. Here’s a video explaining them all!

Love these updates. Am looking forward to the new Contacts view which I know is in the roadmap.

And one quick request: When in a pipeline I’ve an option to attach an item: a Note or a Task. If I attach a Note then it shows up in the history for the pipeline item. But if I ‘attach’ a task then it only shows up for the contact. I’d love to be able to attach tasks to pipelines and be able to view tasks for a given pipeline together. For example I have a project pipeline which I use for client work and if I could attach all the relevant tasks to a project then I could use LACRM as a simple project management system.

Thanks Lucy, I’m glad you’re enjoying these videos!

I hear you on the request to attach pipelines to task. This is something we’d love to add some day, but to be honest, very few of our customers have multiple pipelines per contact, so this is something that wouldn’t impact most people. That’s not to say it’ll never get done, but that’s why it hasn’t been done yet. We have this idea entered in our product idea database, and I’ll count this as an extra vote for it!

These are great and very useful feature additions.

The info panel slide-out in the board view is particularly helpful. I have always assigned pipelines to companies rather than contacts; however, the contact information in that panel is what is really needed.

This raises a question: if I assign pipelines to contacts to utilize this feature, is there a way to have the pipeline badge appear in the company’s attached items view?

I’m afraid that we don’t have that ability currently. You can see updates to the pipeline in the company’s history, but the “attached items” on the company profile only shows what is attached directly to that company.

This would be a bit of a workaround, but you could add a “contact link” field to the pipeline and attach the company that way. So for example, the pipeline would be attached to the contact, but then you could have a field called “Company” on the pipeline and link it to the company in that field. Then, when you look at the company, you’d see all the pipelines that link to it on the “company info” sidebar.

I know that’s a bit different than what you’re asking about, and it would mean a bit of extra data entry, but it might be a decent workaround for you?
