I use Cognito Forms for many client forms, and they allow me to link the Google Maps API so that client forms can benefit from autofill when entering a street address. (I had to get my own API key from Google, which wasn’t hard.)
Has LACRM thought of adding a similar feature? I’d like it in both forms as well as when adding new contacts and companies to the CRM, and I’m perfectly happy with using my own Google key and billing so the usage wouldn’t be borne by LACRM.
This type of feature has come up before, but I’m afraid we don’t have plans to add that kind of functionality. The address field in the CRM is functionally the same as the form address fields, so autofill would need to be applied system wide, rather than to forms only. That would be a major technical project, and we have a number of other projects that take priority over something like this. I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you here.
I suspect you’re doing this now, but if you need that type of functionality you can use Cognito Forms, or another form tool, separately. You could then use Zapier to connect that with LACRM to enter the data in the CRM automatically.
